Rhodri Jones

Managing Director, RL Commercial

Rhodri started at the Rugby Football League in 2007, having graduated from Loughborough University. During his time at the RFL, his work involved commercial development, delivering major events and managing relationships with commercial and broadcast partners.

In 2018, Rhodri became the Chief Commercial Officer of Super League (Europe) Limited which involved navigating the competition through the Covid pandemic.

Rhodri became the first ever Managing Director of RL Commercial in January 2023 following a period of governance realignment in the sport, alongside the signing of a 12-year strategic partnership with leading sports industry specialists IMG. Together, RL Commercial and IMG have outlined the ‘Reimagination of Rugby League’ strategy through projects across broadcast, commercial, calendar optimisation and fan engagement.
