Sue Thearle
TV Presenter, Football Reporter and Sports CommentatorSue has more than 25 years’ experience working in sports media, joining BBC Breakfast in 1996 as a reporter, before moving into presenting. At the BBC, she has gone on to present BBC Breakfast Sports, BBC News Sports and has also presented as a BBC News Anchor.
During her time in the media, Sue has reported on the EFL Highlights for ITV, FIFA World Cup, Women’s World Cup, UEFA Euros, Nations League and Europa League – and was the first female voice on Match of the Day.
Outside of football, Sue has worked as the lead commentator in tennis for the ATP, WTA, Prime Video, USTA, Wimbledon World Feed and Billie Jean King Cup/Davis Cup.
Additionally, Sue has worked as a radio commentator for IMG, The Open and Ryder Cup. She has performed as an on-course radio commentator for The Open Radio, Sirius XM and also on European hosted Ryder Cup coverage, including presenting studio coverage and interviews with players, officials, and sports personalities.
