The characters, stories and events of every sport provide a narrative as thrilling and dramatic as any TV soap opera. But how are the stories told? In this online masterclass, participants will delve into match reporting and the diverse landscape of sports storytelling, exploring how narratives unfold across various media platforms.
At our Storytelling in Sport Masterclass, participants will investigate the skills and techniques storytellers use on different platforms, including films, documentaries, radio, blogs, and podcasts. Through a combination of case studies and hands-on exercises, participants will understand the critical elements that go into telling a story through each of these mediums and what the future might bring in the industry.
This Masterclasses will be delivered online across four 90-minute sessions, and each session will be recorded and available on-demand for Students.
The Course Leader for this Masterclass is Award-Winning Global Television Journalist David Ford, who boasts more than 30 years of broadcast news experience at the BBC, Sky Sports News, CNN and Al Jazeera.
